Helping Homeless Families Achieve Independence – Transport families between Calvary (Jackson School) and Day House (6th & Washington)
What’s needed: Van Drivers (sign-up sheet/schedule at Information Desk in narthex) Evening Host (at Calvary Lutheran, one evening between 5-8pm). There are always two hosts per evening. “I’ve done this before a number of times and it’s a lot of fun. You don’t need to bring anything, just show up and chat with the folks as they have dinner (dinner is provided by others). It’s all about socializing with the families and enjoying the evening.” Martin Granum
Date/Time: Drivers – Trinity is responsible (on a rotating schedule) for providing transportation one week (Mon-Sun) out of every 6 weeks. Evening Hosts serve for one evening durng this same week we are driving.
Location: Morning: pick up at Calvary Lutheran transport participants to Day House. Evening drivers:reverse. Evening Hosts always serve at Calvary Lutheran.
