Sandy Madsen, Parish Nurse Coordinator Sandy Madsen has been a registered nurse since 1985 when she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Linfield College. Her nursing experience includes 8 years of acute care nursing at Good Samaritan Hospital (Portland, OR) working in the "float pool" and in the Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. She also spent 14 years as a Community Health Nurse at Legacy Visiting Nurse Association providing skilled nursing visits to homebound individuals with a variety of illnesses. At that time she became active as a volunteer parish nurse at Trinity. In 2005 she completed the Basic Preparation course for Parish Nurse Coordinators and was hired a few months later as Tuality Hospital's first Parish Nurse Coordinator. In 2010 she was hired by Northwest Parish Nurse Ministries as the organization’s Education Coordinator. She works full time in both positions and continues to volunteer as the Parish Nurse Coordinator at Trinity. Sandy really enjoys being actively involved in her community especially promoting programs that support health and wellness. Sandy married her husband, Aaron, in 1987, at Trinity.
