Rally Sunday is almost here! Sunday, September 14th is the beginning of the new Sunday School year. Sunday school begins at 9:00 am with the education hour for the adults beginning at 9:15 am. After the last service, please stay and join us for the Rally Day BBQ. Games will begin at noon! If you have children, have you filled out the Sunday school registration form for preschool - 6th grade? Please fill it and turn it in as soon as possible. |

By now most of us are way past our dreaming of summer plans. Either we have begun to enjoy the "easy livin'" of summer, or we are counting the days until we can. So, what are your summer plans? Is there a family vaation planned, or a quiet get away? Are you staying close to home, or is this the summer of that long awaited dream vacation? Are you off to new adventures in education, or entering the work force on a full time basis? Whatever your plans are, how are you taking care of your spiritual helath? We do numerous things during the summer to take care of our mental and physical health, but often our spiritual health is last on the list. Let me offer a few suggestions.... personal devotions, finding a good book, gather some friends for an evening of socializing.... Through it all, however, let's remember God's gracious promise in Matthew 11:28; "Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." This summer God will come to us in many different ways for the sole/soul purpose of giving us rest. This, by the way, makes the livin' easy. |
